Executing an Evaluation Strategy
Is there a difference between evaluation strategy and single program evaluation? The answer is YES! An evaluation strategy articulates the why, what, and how you will evaluate all of your offerings. Your evaluation strategy will help you:
- Determine the appropriate level of evaluation for each of your offerings
- Determine the exposure (risk), quality (design), and performance (results) of your offerings
- Articulate which of your offerings are adding value and which are not
- Build and extensive evaluation toolkit
- Become a strategic partner with your stakeholders
- Act with more fiscal responsibility
An evaluation strategy is comprised of a comprehensive analysis and measurement system designed to focus on achieving measurable results.
There are three phases to executing an evaluation strategy:
- Build the Foundation – set up the Critical Success Factors
- Create Focus – establish linkage to business goals – Business Results Accountability
- Design the Framework – create the tools – Evaluation Framework & Approach
